Pumpkins, Corn Mazes, Hayrides and Fried Pies

Route 2 has become our route of choice when driving to our lake getaway.  Here are some snapshots from taken last weekend at a popular farmers market that goes all out for Halloween. No fried pie pics though...they were eaten.

Simon just cracks us up!
(Sorry, Tootsie was left home all alone by mistake)

Have you ever done a corn maze?

Those must have been some STRONG winds! What a bummer. I've only been through one, one time and it was a bunch of fun!

Looks like a family fun place. My youngest daughter and I once did a corn maze and got lost. We couldn't find our way out, so we got off the paths and walked thru the corn to freedom.

Okay...A a fried pie is shaped like those Hostess pies, but they are homemade and when we get them at this market they are freshly baked and warm and gooey. (Much better than Hostess) I love their Sweet Potato Pies. They are the best in my book, but they also have blueberry, apple and peach.

stopped by from nursemyra's... love corn mazes, but have only 'done' them from the air! a friend has a plane, and one of our favorite things to do is fly over them this time of year. we found 4 in a 90 minute flight a few weeks ago! very cool! looks like a fun market!

Welcome Daisy! That sounds amazing! Did you see people walking through them as well? I'd imagine you took some wonderful photos.
