ONE WORD

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN ONE WORD

This could be extremely easy for some of you but for others it might be difficult. For me it was easy. I was over at Delicacies this morning when the idea of this post popped into my noggin. I had nuttin for this morning until then. So, I give Delicate Flower full credit for this post. Thank you, DF!

My Word: Practical

It can be a Debbie Downer at times being practical, but in most cases I find it is an asset. Although, sometimes I do make myself cast caution to the wind in order to enjoy those unexpected pleasures that come our way!

Note: If this project allowed a second word, it would have been "creative". :-)

NS...all the time??

Insatiable!

At the moment, yes.

Next month, maybe less so.

As an aside, I just had to laugh at the (probably unintentional) right hand column of your front page.

...the bit where it says,
"Make sure to have a laugh every day. View my complete profile"

NS..that IS funny!! Especially with my naked troll avatar. I hadn't noticed that!

Hey, anytime! Glad to provide inspiration.
One word to describe myself? I'll pick "playful" and will probably spend the rest of the day thinking about whether there is a better choice? Second: disorganized!

Duncanr said...

Well, if we're allowed a 2nd choice, for me it would have to be - CUTE

;-)

DF...what a descriptive word...playful...very nice!

Dunc..it goes along with your first very well! ;-)

This project has to allow a second word cause I'm described as:

VERY NICE

Ivan

BROKE!

I'll go hyphenated...

"not-so-smelly"

yorksnbeans said...

Andy...that's a very good characteristic, I must say. Good for you!

Bear...You could have fooled me!

Lynn...I can see that especially since your dream is to move to the South Pacific!

Ivan...what about "modest"? :-)

Kansas...Welcome! Nice to meat you!

Elec....what about "tolerable'? ;-)

i was going to say sarcastic, but bearman already claimed that word, so i'll say logical.

Hey Yorks and beans... (Can I call you 'beanie'? I think it's a cute name.)

The word for me would be: childish.

Welcome Bill and Linlah!

Ivan...I just get this feeling about you! (and it's ONE word) :-)

Everyone, thanks for your descriptions! Let's put them together and see what we have so far:

Practical, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Funkalicious, stressed, insatiable, playful, cute, versatile, sarcastic, Bohemian, very nice, broke, not-so-smelly, logical, worried, undecided, different, reliable, overworked, childish & quirky.

Now if Alan Truitt were here, I believe he would create some fantastic story out of this. Where are you Alan??

PUZZLED

By many things these days, but just now by;

'Debbie Downer'.

Go on, spoil my day, teach me what it means and that I'm too old to know.

dave

PS Leave the story weaving to CLT in the dreadful absence of AT, it'll be good...

yorksnbeans said...

Dave...being that you are from England, I believe, I'll give you a free pass on this one. Debbie Downer is a phrase one uses for a person who has a tendency to put a damper on things and looks at things from a negative standpoint.

And you're correct. CLT would be a good choice for a interesting yarn, although he hasn't frequented here lately. Hey, CLT where are you?? I'll have to stop by and give you a shout at your place!

dave hambidge said...

Thanks for that, my mother then?

yorksnbeans said...

yep...excellent synonym!! :-)

Dusty...you could have fooled me! ;-)

Dave...Don't you know? Our moms are best friends! ;-)

Julie...why you little devil! :-)

dave hambidge said...

YnB, don't get me out of the starting blocks, I plead the fifth, or whatever number it is...
