Palin's Packin' (and we're not meaning guns)

As I had claimed several weeks ago, there could be times I would slip in a political post. Well, folks, when it comes to our beloved Ms. Palin, I can't sit silent on the sidelines. I just finished doing a two minute jig with a glass of wine in hand when I read the news on The Mad Hatters blog about Sarah stepping down as governor.

The following two statements are my favorites:

Palin hinted that she had a bigger role in mind, saying she wanted to make a (#1)"positive change outside government." But she kept supporters in suspense, promising later Friday on Twitter: (#2) "We'll soon attach info on decision to not seek re-election ... this is in Alaska's best interest, my family's happy ... it is good. Stay tuned."

Now, what bigger role with positive change outside government could this possibly be, I wonder? I'll take a wild stab and guess talk show host with closet organizer running a close second. All ideas are welcome, just list them in the comments section.....

I'll give her credit and a big high-five for realizing that stepping down was in her state's best interest., but pleeeeease go one step further, Sarah, and include the good ole U.S. of A. The country would sleep easier at night.

And I'll leave you with one of Sarah's most memorable quotes:
"As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where– where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border." --Sarah Palin

I'm pretty middle of the road, but when it comes to Ms. Palin it wouldn't matter what party she staked claim to, I'd jump ship!! :-)

Have a post today on the real reason she is quitting. Get out of my head YNB about what she will do...that is my next post. So I am not telling YET.

I am not a fan and never thought she was presidential material, but I never understood all the angst about her.

Hmmm.....seems that I'll be the only Republican commenting here.

Let's see: on a lighter note, she's stepping down to make tons of money to pay off the bills for all of those ethical complaints that people felt like filing against her.

I won't even offer my opinion on a serious note.

FJ...It's not anger, it's dislike. And, it's not a general dislike of her, it's just in the national political arena. There is no way I would ever want her to represent my country.

Sorry beans but it IS a general dislike of her. I despise EVERYTHING that woman stands for and what she stands for represents her as a person.

I also think she's ugly. I really don't get it.

And she's a terrible mother.

thanks nursemyra! i've had tons of fun with other-than-princess-sarah barbies. it might be time to do some more.

i'm with geonite. i despise princess sarah. i think she's phony, cold, and narcissistic. on top of all that, she's a quitter. she quit her previous job as chairman of an energy commission in alaska, and now she quit the governorship (which, interestingly, she refers to as giving up her "title." it was never about working for the betterment of alaska. it was all about having a title).
