Cupcake Friday

When looking back at this past week, I realized it was sprinkled with little unexpected pleasant surprises. It made me start wondering how many weeks are probably filled with them and go unacknowledged, so I thought I would begin a "Cupcake Friday" to highlight the past week's sprinkles of unexpected joy.

1. An unexpected visit from one of my brothers and his family last weekend.

2. Seeing an absolutely gorgeous sunset.

3. The return of a dear old friend.

4. Opening a parcel full of goodies that came from a dear blog buddy on the other side of the world.

UPDATE! One more to add to the list!

5. The return of Tannerleah @ Stop Annoying Me

What unexpected pleasures did you experience this past week?

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE! (And don't forget to send in your body part!)

Love the cupcake idea..

Unexpected pleasure? A very sweet gesture of love from a special individual.

That I could comment on your blog without unusual displeasure.

DF...may I ask what that sweet gesture was?

Bear...I'm so glad that brought you an unexpected pleasure this week. I hope it continues! ;-)

That I was...and excuse me for being forward...able to maintain a partial erection for somewhere around 30 seconds. Is this the kind of information you were looking for?

Thanks for welcoming me back.

Well, I would think that is a good thing, sorta...keep working on it though, and maybe next week on Cupcake Friday you'll have an even better pleasant surprise to report! :-)

We got our accreditation at the Gimcrack but that wasn't really unexpected..... the handsome plumber flirted with me..... my mah jong playing friends bought me a present on ebay that will feature on my blog in coming weeks.... two new people joined in T-shirt Friday :-)

yorksnbeans said...

You mean you had patients without being accredited?? That's definitely a good thing then! :-)

Flirting from a hottie...always good!

Mah Jongg...I am assuming you play the Chinese version? I play American. I have a feeling the gift will be coming to us on a Friday?!

You got a good thing going there on Fridays, my dear!!

BTW....I thought you were gone?? I hope this means you'll be able to join us next week in the body parts game!

My friend brought me a bunch of tomatoes, just picked from her garden. They were AMAZING :-)

PS I'm working on a picture for you.

I just clicked over here for the first time, but I instantly love you. Cupcakes are awesome and so are unexpected pleasures.

Mine are 1) my boyfriend telling me I was prettier than the girls on America's Next Top Model (he lies, but sweetly) and 2) getting to nap all day today guilt free.

Now to find out about these body parts you mention.

yorksnbeans said...

Welcome Heather!! :)

I'm so glad you like the cupcakes and WOW...that is some compliment from your beau!! Definitely a top pleasure! A good nap in the middle of the day...always good as well. Go ahead and send us your body part...it's shaping up to be a blast!
I'll come over an visit you at your place!

now now. wasn't it YOU who said you started a day of the week alliteration and it didn't work, thus you discouraged me from such?

wasn't it you? if not, nevermind. if so, well. crap.

Moi?? No way! Actually, you have quite the memory there, BD. I did do them when I first started TY&B, but then tossed them to the wind and decided to go freestyle. But, things change here like the color of women's hair. We'll see how long this one lasts!

Welcome Bob!! Sorry to hear about your mum...but it sounds like she was lucky in not getting the full-blown pig strain. Hope the chicken soup knocked it right out of her!

Oh NOW you've done it. Got me craving cupcakes, darn you.

Mine are: the purse my mother surprised me with. She found it on clearance and knew I'd love it..and I do! And TannerLeah's return...with or without his erection.

Now, where is that cake mix...

I heard from a few new people who told me how much they appreciate what I do, which was refreshing because I had a few jealous folks trying to steal the sunshine from my day.

Plus, my wife surprised me Saturday with the greatest dinner I've ever eaten.

I definitely had a triple-cupcake weekend. :)

Good for you, George! I know what you mean about bad apples and how they can ruin a good time. Hank is a hoot and I always enjoy coming to see what he and his dad have gotten themselves into!
