Watch this flight simulation of US Air Flight 1549 that landed in the Hudson River....Absolutely amazing! Open up to full screen and make sure to watch the entire video. At first there is no audio, but it will come and then be sporadic.
More audio on this one:

Even though I know they made it, I still get chills watching this.
I did, too!
Hey, you are still on over here. I hope I did not miss much.
I saw the documentary on this flight and it was a miracle. I am scared of flying because I think too much and think I know a lot. But the truth is flying is the safest mode of transportation.
I'm off to watch the full flight simulations you posted.
I watched Brace for Impact a couple of weeks ago. Amazing.
I have some flight anxiety, and in fact, I ordered this program that helps with it, and it's done by a former pilot who is now a therapist. I was just watching a video where he said that people think that if you lose engine power, you are just going to plummet, but as this video shows, that's not true. He said that a plane is twice the glider than a hang glider is, and this video proves it.
Kristina...I don't like flying either and I just kept thinking about the passengers who must have been watching the engines burning during the whole ordeal.
Wow! Thanks so much for posting this!
i hate to fly, but i would if i knew the pilot was sully.
That is a fascinating virtual recreation of what is probably one of the most famous incidents in modern aviation, thankyou!
That is one very skilled pilot. Crashing in a city must be a nightmare scenario. Hats off!
good find - I love to listen to ATC when I'm flying United and they offer it on the headsets.
Kristina mentioned gliders - I went up in a glider and would like to do it again. Indescribable feeling when the tow plan is released and you just start to float. Of course than is not the same as how this flight must of felt.
Just amazing to me how collected Sully was the whole time.
a true hero!
I still can't get over this...
That was pretty cool, amazing how far technology has come! Sometimes those videos really give you a good feel of what actually happened!
Tried to find the new blog, but no joy!
