Cupcake (& Bonus T-Shirt) Friday

Every week we all experience little unexpected pleasures. I liken them to cupcakes. Something that puts an instant smile on my face. Luscious goodness in a small package.

As some of you have realized (especially Dave H.), the early part of the week didn't get off to a very good start, so there aren't too many cupcakes to share with you this week.

This week my cupcakes had to do with friendship.

1. An afternoon spent with a dear friend who I haven't seen in a few months. Lunch, wine and many laughs.

2. Another friend unexpectedly showing up at my front door with not just one gift, but two! (for some reason she said they were overdue).

The timing of these cupcakes couldn't have been better and they were delicious!

Please share some of the cupcakes from your week.....

UPDATE
Nurse Myra has posted a T-Shirt Friday and since one of the gifts I received this week was a T-shirt(and a cool one at that), I thought I would join in. (although, my pic is not nearly as provocative. sorry.)

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Your chocolate cupcakes caught my eye on my Blogroll. YUM.

This was a crazy week for me too, but one cupcake was meeting a new blog friend for lunch. What a treat!

That's a great tee shirt and a fun gift.

Hope your weekend is good and next week even better.

Joanne, somehow I think Dave was referring to a different set of cupcakes!

Love the t-shirt! My cupcake for the week? Having this young female cop from yesterday's meeting (see post at Delicacies) turn to me and say that she had my blog in her favorites!
And, indulging myself by buying a new iPod and then getting some new songs too! Listening to Bill Withers' sing Use Me right now, having taken a day off work!!!

Couples therapy tonight!! Black nightie coming along for the ride.

Thanks Lynn...yes it's quite the t-shirt!

DF...couples therapy...I like that! I don't have an iPod yet, but maybe one day! As far as Dave comment goes, it's questionable. I believe his comment came seconds before I added the t-shirt photo.

Spent time with two of my grandchildren.

My wife bought me a big fresh brownie. It was goooooood.

She also surprised me with a new flavor and brand of ice cream. WOW.

Matty....those are SWEET!! :-)

Is that "Group" or "Grape" therapy?

yorksnbeans said...

I believe it's a group of grapes. :-)

haha... great T!

My burnt toast this week was being sick on my birthday but it ended on a cupcake note by having both my sons cook me dinner

I vote for group therapy! Especially that kind of group. It doesn't have to be provocative to be a great t-shirt. I played too, pretty late but it's still Friday here.

Happy Belated Birthday NM!! Sorry about not feeling well, but how nice to be taken care of by your sons!

Welcome HMH! I agree...it's one group I definitely approve of!

Except for your missing head, you look great in your Tee.

Nons...a good chat deserves a cupcake!

Dave...I didn't think that photo was there on your first time round.

FJ...why, thank you!

Work-wise, it's been the week from hell! But the cupcake was: A quick dinner each evening, prepared by my son, then heading out to the pond or lake to fish until dark and practice with the new fly rod! Great bonding time with my son, excellent fishing, and beautiful sunsets.

And damn, I wish I filled out a tee like that! :-) hugs!

dave hambidge said...

It wasn't, but bright cherries on top of sweet black mounds can cause all sorts of interesting day-dreams...

Sweats...good to see you! I've had several people tell me that fly-fishing is the most peaceful and serene sport and how it totally connects them with nature. A great way to wind down from a hectic day at work! And what a good son!

Dave...I would expect that from you! ;-)
